FAQ

What is a Scalp Analysis?

A Scalp Analysis is a detailed scalp and follicle evaluation using a professional microscope.
We look at:

  • Your follicles

  • Your density

  • Your growth patterns

  • Signs of inflammation, damage, or buildup

  • Clues your hair is giving us about internal stressors

This helps us identify what type of hair loss you’re experiencing and why your scalp is reacting.

Why do I need to do a Scalp Analysis?

Most clients book because they’re experiencing:

  • Shedding that won’t stop

  • A widening part

  • Thinning along the hairline

  • Scalp itching, burning, or tenderness

  • Short hairs that won’t grow

  • Sudden patchy loss

  • Oiliness or flaking

  • Stress-related shedding

  • Postpartum, hormonal, or illness-related changes

If you’re noticing any of these, a Scalp Analysis gives you clarity instead of worry.

How long does a Hair Check take?

About 30-60 minutes including your consultation and evaluation.

Do you diagnose medical conditions?

No, I provide trichology-based assessments and guidance. You’ll be referred to a dermatologist when needed.

What if I’ve already seen doctors?

That's a great starting point. A Scalp Analysis helps you see what’s happening on the scalp, so you finally understand the full picture.

Is this safe for all hair types?

Yes, I work with all hair textures, densities, and conditions.

Do I need to wash my hair before the appointment?

Yes, but please do not do any aggressive scrubbing.

What is Low Level Laser Light?

Low Level Laser Light is compressed light from a wavelength from the cold, red part of the spectrum.  It is different from natural light in that it is one precise color.  These properties allow laser light to penetrate with no heating effect, no damage and no side effects.

These lasers do not give off heat and use photo energy.  For many years, leading hair restoration clinics and salons around the world have been using Cold-beam laser technology for individuals suffering from hair conditions.

How does it work?

The LLLT works by increasing blood flow, energy & oxygen to the scalp and hair follicles.  This is what the hair needs to be healthy and have volume.

The light stimulates blood supply and brings circulation and nutrition up to the hair follicle to stimulate hair growth.  It will also make the hair stronger, thicker and shinier

Who is a conidate for LLLT?

Anyone who is experiencing hair loss.

Low level laser hair therapy is the long anticipated answer for anyone who is in the early stages of hair loss (1-7 years)

Illness or medication related hair loss, postpartum hair loss & post-menupausal hair loss responds very well to laser therapy.

Laser therapy is recommended for anyone to maintain a healthy head of hair, especially if you have a history of family hair loss.

The sooner you start treatments the better.
